Tilt + Turn Window Handle Heights

The handle can be installed in one of three heights on the sash. Specify the handle location for each window to
ensure it is comfortable to operate in relation to its size,
location on the wall, environment (adjacent walls,
counters, cabinets or other windows/doors)
and for its occupants.

-Standard: The handle is centered on the right or left of the vertical length of the sash.
-Easy Reach: The handle is installed on the right or left of the vertical length of sash 360mm from the bottom. This height is recommended for windows that are behind counters or high on the wall.
-Accessible: The handle is centered on the bottom of the sash. Recommended for occupants with limited mobility.

Choose from two hardware operation: standard and tilt before turn.

Restrictors and Locks

We offers a variety of window opening restrictors for Tilt + Turn Windows. Window opening restrictors may be a personal preference or building code requirement. When mandated by regulatory bodies, it is the responsibility of the building team to specify the appropriate window opening restrictor.

-4″ restrictor
-Tilt before turn hardware with a keyed lockable handle
-Custodial lock

Decorative Grids

Select from surface grids (plant-on grids), simulated divided lites (plant-on with spacer bar) or true divided lites (mullions and sash bars) in a variety of colours, sizes and patterns.

Double or Triple Glazing

The Defender 76TS System is available with your choice of double or triple glazing. The wide glazing cavity (1″ for double glazed and 1.5″ for triple glazed) allows the optimal amount of space between each 4mm thick pane of glass to achieve maximum thermal and acoustic performance.

Glass Thickness

The standard glass thickness for our double pane windows is two panes of 4mm thick glass. The standard glass thickness for our triple pane windows is three panes of 4mm thick glass. The thickness of each pane can be customized depending on your specific project requirements. Glass thickness should be discussed with your Product Representative for all projects with specific acoustic performance targets.

LoĒ Coatings

We offer three choices of LoĒ coatings: LoĒ-180™, LoĒ-270™ and LoĒ-366™. LoĒ coatings are used to control the solar heat gain on windows and doors. Coating are selected based on the individual project – and window and door! – performance requirements.

LoĒ-180 by Cardinal Glass Industries

Suggested use:
-In colder climates where solar heat gain is wanted

-On the north face of the building where there is no direct sun

-On windows and doors that are heavily shaded by overhangs, trees or other buildings

LoĒ-270 by Cardinal Glass Industries

Suggested use:

-Good “all around” option for most projects
-May not be ideal for exposed south or west facing windows and doors in warmer climates

LoĒ-366 by Cardinal Glass Industries

Suggested use:
-In warmer climates where solar heat gain needs to be limited
-On exposed south or west facing windows

-Best option to maximize u-value
