Windward Passage

Project Overview

The Windward Passage in Long Beach, Washington was originally built in 1998. Less than 10-years later, the windows and doors began to leak. Innotech products were selected to replace the existing windows and doors because of their proven water resistance, structural integrity and overall durability features.

Unmatched Protection

Innotech’s hybrid steel + uPVC fenestration system with its true pressure equalized, rainscreen water infiltration management system offers unmatched protection against coastal weather elements. Water intrusion testing was performed on site to 10 PSF test pressure to provide a true and accurate measurement of the installed windows and doors.

Third party structural engineers ensured that the new windows and doors were engineered for long term structural performance. The architect and envelope consultant then verified complete system performance requirements. It is no surprise that extra due diligence was taken – the owners of Windward Passage were intent on selecting only the best windows and doors to avoid another costly (and unnecessary) retrofit.
