Project Overview
Cedar Grove Apartments is an affordable housing community, with 44 homes for low-income residents including eight for at-risk families recovering from homelessness. The development and design teams prioritized trauma-informed design elements and energy efficient design features to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for residents.

Sustainable Design
Sustainable design features include advanced framing, continuous exterior insulation, an on-demand hot water system, rooftop solar array, and the Defender 76TS high-performance window system, engineered for exceptional thermal performance, durability, and resident comfort. The project achieved Platinum Earth Advantage® Multifamily certification.

Unique wellness design elements include two outdoor courtyards with a splash pad, play structure, climbing wall, and seating areas. Inside Cedar Grove Apartments, residents enjoy a large library with acoustic panels, comfortable seating, and abundant natural light.
While the owner of the two projects benefits from lower energy costs and durable windows, the many residents benefits from comfortable and quiet homes with ample natural light and natural ventilation.
